Ok so where do I start? Well for starters I have a 7 year old son who will be 8 in 2 months. I had him a month before my 20th birthday. After he was almost 2 I wanted to give him a sibling. It really wasn’t a big issue at first. I just figured if I get pregnant great if I didn’t that was ok too because I was enrolled in college again. Ok so in 2015 I met my husband. In January of 2016 I started taking Geritol, Evening Primrose Oil and Vitex for hormonal imbalance. (My cycles were irregular) I ended up pregnant the next month on February 14 to be exact. When I went to the doctor for an ultrasound, he could only find a gestational sac with no baby! I was in total shock. Turns out I had gotten pregnant but suffered from a blighted ovum. I was devastated and confused. This lead me to try to understand what just happened in my body. After months and months of test in December of 2016 I was diagnosed with ovarian cysts due to PCOS. My doctor instantly wanted to start me on Metformin. I really didnt think I needed it so I didnt take it. Instead I asked for Clomid since I wasn’t ovulating like I should. I took 5 rounds of clomid with no success. Now I have given up all hope of ever getting pregnant again by December 2017. I just wanted a break from trying, but being a newlywed I felt the need to give my husband his first child. So around March of 2018 I went back to my doctor and he told me I must take the metformin and I did. He also started me on Clomid again but I didn’t take the first round until May 6, 2018 - May 10, 2018. I went to see my doctor again on May 17, 2018 and he did an ultrasound to check my ovaries for future ovulation. Turns out my egg looked great at 24mm. He said I could ovulate a healthy egg any day. By May 31, 2018 I was kind of nauseous after a drink. I took a test on June 2, 2018, turns out I ovulated around May 19th or 20th and was definitely pregnant again. I am currently 20 weeks pregnant and so excited to see my miracle rainbow baby February 10, 2019.
