What to do after insemination?

I’ll do my first iui soon. My husband and I are planning to go shopping after insemination. Is it ok? Or should I go home and rest in bed? What do you do after insemination? Any activity that is not allowed?

They usually make you lay there for 15-20 minutes and then you are free to do whatever you want I just put on a maxi pad afterwards

For us they told us we could just go back to our regular activities, we also went shopping. I think it really depends how you feel, I was in a little pain when I was getting the iui but right after I was fine, just tiny cramps here and there but some other people have stronger cramps and spotting.

After mine, I went to work. Some cramping but it was fine. Just no hard workouts before or after. Go shopping! Good stress relief!

We went out for lunch and do a bookstore. I did take a nap later in the afternoon but that was just because I was tired.

I agree with Eli. Doc said just no strenuous exercise or overheating for the next 24 hours. It mostly depends on how you feel. I've had 2. Both required more to the procedure than normal and resulted in intense pain for about a day after. I planned on going shopping after, but decided to go home and lay down cuz I couldn't stand up straight.

After I had mine done I went and picked up some lunch to bring home, watched a little bit of TV and then took a nap for a few hours. I had slight cramping but nothing just horrible. I am 6dpt 5dpiui. Gotta go tomorrow for progesterone level bloodwork. Good luck and I hope this bring your bfp.
