Period blood vs pregnancy blood

I just started bleeding this morning but I took the pill on the 16th after having unprotected sex with my boyfriend the two days before. So I should be safe right? It's just the pill messing the period up. My period was supposed to start October 8th. P.s. this was the first time I had sex too
