When/how did you introduce blankets?

My son is 13mo & we’re getting into chilly seasons now. He is waaay to big for any sleep sack we have found. He moves constantly in his sleep. He goes from one end of the crib to the other lol. So my question is how did you introduce blankets, & also what age?

I’ve been using blankets and duvets since birth, just like everyone else I know. I didn’t even know not using blankets were a thing 🤷🏽‍♀️

My daughter just turned two and still doesn’t have a blanket in her crib because she rolls around so much at night. I just dress her warmer and she’s been fine. She doesn’t use a pillow either. I think this is one of those things where you just use your own judgement.

My son just turned 2 and can’t keep a blanket on him to save his life. Halo makes sleep sacks up to size 4T so he’s using that.

At that age I put my daughter to bed in a onesie with fleece footie pjs on top. She was fine without a blanket.

My son had grobags. They go up to 3 years of age

Our 16 month old still doesn't have a blanket and won't have one until she's 2 years old. And I promise he's not too big for a sleep sack. Get him a Halo SleepSack. Their largest size goes up to 36 months. Our daughter is in the 99th percentile for height (outgrew her infant seat by 4 months old - that's how crazy tall she is) and she wears a size large in the sleep sacks. We'll probably be switching her to the extra large soon.

My son is almost 2.5 years old and still doesn't sleep with a pillow or blanket. He's a crazy sleeper, I just dress him warm in fleece footie jammies and layer those if necessary.
