How much formula?

I've switched from breast to formula at 7 weeks.. during pregnancy I educated myself on breastfeeding and didn't even consider formula.. but for reasons out of my control I'm on formula now.. I'm not sure how much I'm supposed to be giving him.. I'm doing 2-3oz right now.. but I'm finding lots of info online with all different amounts. He weighs 9.6lbs if that means anything?

My son is 4 weeks and 2 days, he takes 4oz and he's over 9lb. I would try him on 4. You'll know if he needs more. See if he's satisfied after his feeds, is he still showing signs of hunger, being fussy and see how long he's going in between feeds. I've recently put my son on 4, he was on 3 and didn't seem content now he's on 4 he seems way more content and is going longer inbeteen feeds (apart from at the moment as he's going through a growth spurt and cluster feeding)

I’d say 4 oz. start at 2 or 3 and give him one ounce at a time til he’s satisfied. But formula takes longer for their stomachs to tell them they’re full. He’ll likely spit it up not being able to handle more before he feels full.

Super simple, if he's hungry, you feed him. There's no set amount. Our daughter was consuming about 3-4 ounces at a time at that age and that was based off her needs, not a chart.

Our daughter is 7 weeks and she takes 4oz and has since about 4 weeks. She will occasionally take 5oz, bust usually just her last feeding before bedtime. She was 9lbs11oz at her 4 week appt and feels like she’s easily 11-12lbs now lol. I’d say start low and see how that goes. Probably better to need to give more than end up with waste (since it’s so darn expensive!) or puking from overeating.
