strep throat? or infection?

just last weekend I have this guy head. it was literally like 5 seconds. well today I go to my school nurse (college) and she says that I probably have strep. well I'm worried that it may not be strep. I kind of know the guy and he's in the military and he says he has no STDs. what do you guys think? I go to the doctors in the morning so I will give an update.
