Best birth control and why does it work for you??

Could you please explain why you like your birth control choice and what (if any) side effects you may have had. I am late in the game when it comes to BC, however I am trying to avoid pregnancy this next year (I am getting married next year). I have been playing Russian roulette for far too long. 3.Can get without a prescription 
4. Protect against STD’s and STI’s 
5. Help reduce the chance of getting Bacterial vaginitis

1. If you run out , you’ll have to run out to buy more before sexy time.

I have been on the pill and the shot, (tried the NuvaRing but my vagina isn't "deep" enough) 
I personally LOVE the pill, I haven't gained any weight, unlike the shot, I went from 90 pounds to 180.
I'm not a raging bitch and I remember to take it by downloading a app called "Lady pill reminder".

Ive been on condoms only, no hormonal birth control because I was on different kinds of birth control for years and it was really hard on my body and mental state. Also, in my current relationship we have less sex. In my previous relationship it was at a rate of daily to multiple times a day. Relying just on condoms just wasnt a good idea. Now it doesnt really seem worth being on birth control and im mature enough to understand and accept the risks of using condoms only.

I used depo for years and after my first shot my period was gone,but yes it will increase your appetite so that’s why some women gain weight,but if you’re mindful of that you will be fine. My cousin had the copper iud which is non hormonal and said to be better than the hormonal ones

None of the above! I used Nuvaring and loved it. 
It’s low dosage. I really felt no side effects at all. 
You never have to remember a time to take a pill. 
You insert it for 3 weeks then take it out. If you want your period, it comes 2-3 days later. If you don’t want your period, you insert a new one right away. 
You can take it out during sex. The guy I dated before my husband hated it, so I’d take it out. You can keep it out for up to 3hrs. My husband didn’t mind it, so I always kept it in. Now we’re TTC so I don’t use them anymore. 
You can’t feel them at all. They’re like a hair tie that you squeeze together and insert. So worst case scenario, your guy can feel the edge when you have sex but like I said, my husband didn’t mind it at all whereas that last guy was probably just being a dick and wanted nothing in there now that I think about it? 🤔
Anyway I loved it. I didn’t take any BC until I was 25, so I’m late to the game too. I had no issues and was on it for about 4 years.

I got a Mirena IUD in January. I had some weird inconsistent periods (spotting for a few weeks) but now it’s evening out. My last period was five days (as usual) BUT of just spotting! (Yay!)
I used to (before iud) have a couple medium flow days, and a couple days of spotting. 
Basically my flow just got a lot lighter. I have zero cramps now! I used to get them the first few days. 
(Suuuuper sadly- haven’t even had sex since I got it. But I’ll be super ready for it when it happens! Mirena is 99.9% effective! And lasts about six years)

I was on the pill for almost 10 years and I started having bad side effects the last year or two. I haven’t had any hormonal birth control since December and I feel so much better. My husband and I are only “careful” during my ovulation window and if I were to get pregnant we wouldn’t be upset. But if you aren’t ready for a baby don’t rely only on the pull-out method!
