Refinancing Home

So I’m trying to save a bit of money since I just had a baby and my hours are being cut when I go back. Has anyone done this? Is it worth it? I do t have anyone to ask these questions too as all my friends rent. I just don’t want to get screwed on something.

I pay $1000 a month right now and my interest rate is 4.25%. I have really good credit and never missed a payment.

Just wanting to know if it’s an easy process, and not a headache, and if it actually saved you any money a month.
