Naming son after dad 💙
Anyone know the history behind this tradition?
Any info or data?
Did you do this and why? Family tradition? And if so how many generations, and why if you know??
I’ve seen Kings and sons go up to IV
Like George Henry IV or
Charles Edward II just examples I made up.
Also I never liked when people refer to the son and call him junior but going by the Second or third or fourth sounds ok to me and maybe a nick name that’s diff then everyone’s name, does everyone go by junior or senior that does this or do some go by second or third etc.? Just curious.. 🤔
Another question for those who know all about this or did this, when doing this tradition does one name the exact name after dad and it’s II or III etc.? Or add a second diff Middle name, I guess if you added something it wouldn’t be the same so not the II right?
I didn’t do this, I’m glad as he a ex. He wasn’t into it and it wasn’t a family tradition but I’ve just been finding it interesting lately.
Thanks for educating me on this!!
