I’ll be 39 weeks on Friday and I was certain that this weekend was going to be it. I had a membrane sweep last Friday and then had my bloody show and lost all of my mucus plug throughout Friday and Saturday. I also had a lot of contractions, particularly at night, but they never became consistent. I spent all weekend waking around the grocery store. Yesterday I bounced on my exercise ball all day, did squats, and had sex hoping all of that would make the contractions come in a regular pattern and start real labor but this morning Has been completely silent. I haven’t lost any more of my mucus plug since Saturday night and I haven’t had any contractions since yesterday morning. I didn’t even have any during the night last night. On the one hand I’m hoping he comes out this week because I’m just so ready but on the other hand I hope he stays put for another week because my OB will be on vacation from tonight until next Monday. I’m just so frustrated and discouraged because I really felt like labor was on its way. I thought I was in prodromal labor and it would turn into active labor at any moment but today it just stopped. 😩😭
