BFP After missed period?

I've read so many different stories. Some have received a BPF before they missed their period, some the day of, some during and some not til after a missed period. Why is that? When did you receive your BPF?

The time the egg implants differs from woman to woman. It can take anywhere from 6 to 12 dpo. And some women only track ovulation with a calendar so they might think they ovulated earlier or later than they actually did. That is why everyone gets their bfp on different times.

With my first I was almost a month late (I was 18 and on birth control and she will be 20 years old in a week) and with my second I was a week late before I got my bfp, she is 13 now. I think that the testing time changes from person to person depending on their bodies and hormone levels.
