not another ultrasound?

I’ve only had 2 ultrasounds at my ob.. I thought you get 3? The doctor said you only get one in the end for medical reasons? Sorry but I’d rather know if everything is okay in there by the looks and to see what size baby I’m gonna be pushing out 🙄

Two is normal. They can tell if your baby is going to be larger than normal towards the end by measuring your uterus at every appointment

I only recieved one ultrasound at 20 weeks. Wont get another one unless they think something is horribly wrong with the baby.

Two is normal. Just be happy with two. I know that sounds crappy but for people like me who have complications, every ultrasound is bitter sweet. I’ve had around 10 ultrasounds. and have another scheduled for the tenth. It’s nice to see my baby but just wishing I didn’t have to see him under past circumstances. Luckily this next ultrasound is to check growth since he is so big.

I had one every month of my pregnancy because my BMI was exactly 25 and according to them, anything 25 and over is considered “high risk”... I also think they were milking our insurance.... my husband works for the federal government so we haven’t paid for a single doc appointment, labs, ultrasound or anything this whole pregnancy. At first it seems great but honestly, it was a little excessive.

Some people only get one if they know for sure when they had their last name period. I have only had 2 at my doctors we paid for a early gender scan.

Unless it's for medical reasons and the messurements can be wayyy off like my daughter is estimated to be 8 pounds when I know she's probably only gonne be six pounds

Two is normal. Especially if your doctor and insurance only approve of two. Some insurance companies only approve of two unless there’s a reason for an additional ultrasound.
