Inconsistent contractions and back pain?!

I have been getting awful back pain for awhile now but today it's just been more intense.. I've been trying to time my contractions which they were really close then now up to 15-17 minutes apart again😑 but between all of this I'm getting bad lower back pain.. worth a call to my doctor or l&d? 38 weeks tomorrow and just at a loss..
