I had a D&C on August 22nd. It’s now October 2nd and I’ve still not got my period?

I bled for 4 weeks on and off. It wasn’t proper blood, most days it was really light spotting. However, a couple of weeks ago I had a HUGE bleed. Luckily I was in the car and we have leather seats because it soaked through my pad, knickers, pants and dressing gown. When I stood up it was running down the car seat. I had no pain, no cramps, no nothing. It was completely unexpected and terrifying! When I went to the toilet I felt like something came out of me, it all happened so quickly and there was so much blood that I couldn’t see anything.

I rang the Early Pregnancy unit at the hospital and they said to keep an eye on the bleeding and if it got worse, to go see my GP. The bleeding stopped pretty much completely and a couple of days after, the spotting stopped too. And since I’ve had nothing.

I still went to my GP and he referred me for another ultrasound scan which showed I had a blood clot the side of a marble and 2cm cyst on my left ovary.

I’ve still not gotten my period and I’m so scared this whole experience has hindered my chances of getting pregnant. We wanted to start trying again as soon as but I just have no idea what’s going on with my body. If anyone has been through something similar and can shed some light, I’d be so grateful!!
