My baby girl is only 2 weeks old and for the past 5 days has had the most awful nappy rash, it's like the top layer of skin has come off and it's red raw. I've tried absolutely everything, I've used metanium, sudocreme, thrush cream, I've changed the brand of nappies she's in, stopped using wipes and just use cotton pads and water. Nothing seems to be working and if anything it's getting worse, we both end up crying with every bum change and I really don't know what to do anymore. Has anyone else seen anything like this? And what worked for you?

UPDATE

Since changing her to a hypoallergenic formula her bum has started to get better, the red bits are still sore looking but are a bit lighter in colour as if the sores aren't quite as deep now. Of all the bum creams and pastes I used I found bepanthen worked the best, and has really helped heal her up.
