Any bad experiences using a Menstrual cup with an IUD?

I'm scared to try my Diva cup with my IUD. Anyone have any bad experiences using one? What happened?

I havent done this but I've read that you should be fine as long as youre breaking the seal before pulling the cup out. It is possible to pull the iud out if you pull the strings or the cup suctions it out so you have to be careful taking it out.

I get worried about it, so I usually only use the cup when I know it won’t be convenient for me to change a pad or tampon a couple times. I have both the Diva Cup and the Lena Cup Sensitive, and I haven’t had any problems with either. I just make sure that i break the seal. I will have had my IUD for 2 years in November. I check my strings every month, no issues at all.

I have read that some may get their strings trimmed just so they wont pinch them upon removal. But i have not heard any horror stories🤷🏼‍♂️ most seem to be just fine!

Personally I’d ask your obgyn.  I think they’re the only one who can give you a true evaluation of whether a menstrual cup is safe w the iud.  I did have an iud for many years.  I don’t know if the suction would be an issue.  The other thing I’d be concerned about is accidentally pulling
On the iud string.  I would not use it unless the doc gives you the ok.
