I didn't. My daughter is 15 years old. I've asked her since she was 6 years old whether she wants her ears pierced and she says no each time.

My parents did mine when I was a baby, and around age 14 I started being allergic to most metals in cheap earrings. Since I don’t care enough to get gold plated earrings, I just stopped wearing them. I figure I’ll let my daughter decide if she wants them later.

My daughter can get her ears pierced when she is old enough to ask for earrings. I asked to get my ears pierced on my 4th birthday and my mom took me. I got to pick my first earrings and didn't cry when I got them pierced. I remember feeling like such a big girl

I didn’t get mine pierced until I was close to 10, now I don’t even wear them because I’m allergic to most metal. If I have a girl, I will let her decide whether she wants them or not.

I thought I would do my daughters at 3 months. Then when she arrived I realized I couldn’t bring myself to harm her or alter her in any way because she was so perfect! Shots are hard enough to get through lol
