Hi , so I am relocating to a new town so we are closer to family once baby arrives . I am seeking full time employment as need to work up until around 8 months ... What would you do ? Tell the employer? Or keep it quiet until legally necessary?

If you plan on leaving / quitting at 8 months I wouldn't bother to tell them, and only need to give notice to leave then. I know legally you can't not employ someone because they're pregnant, but they can always find other ways.

You don’t have to tell an employer your pregnant until 15 weeks before your due date, however in some companies you won’t be eligible for maternity pay unless you works certain length of time so you may want to do your research depending what you’re doing.

I’m in similar position and went for an interview was offered position and it really annoyed them I hadn’t been honest but they still gave me the job. From personal experience I would be honest as if you want to go back once baby is born they’ll be open to that!

The 15 weeks before thing applies to maternity leave. From your original post it implies would be leaving at 8 months I took that to mean perminantly leave, in which case the 15 weeks doesn't apply it's just whatever the resignation notice to serve would be.

I wouldn’t tell them, like someone else said they can’t not employ you for that reason but they will offer it to other people over you “based on other things”. Depending on how far you are I’d wait a couple of weeks maybe a month before saying. But if you have a probation period they might terminate your contract then anyway  🤷🏽‍♀️
