Second pregnancy, VBAC or C-Section!

Courtney

Hi ladies! I’m currently 17 weeks pregnant. I go back to the doctor next week for a check up and anatomy scan! At my first appointment I asked the midwife about a VBAC and told her my horrible experience with my first child. It was in 2013, labor for 26 hours, pushed for 3.5. Baby boy got stuck. His head was slightly out, they tried forceps and a vacuum before doing an emergency c section. It was painful, I lost a lot of blood and passed out during, unconscious for about an hour I believe! The midwife said a VBAC is possible because I will have doctors who care and will listen to me (different hospital this time). I told her the docs said I had to have a c section the first time because I have a hooked pelvic bone. She said she’s never heard of that (neither have I or apparently google).

I’m just concerned because when I went to my original gynecologist a few months after my first was born, she said she was no surprised I had a c section “because It’s so narrow”. What is? My pelvis?! I’ve heard a schedule c section will be so much better than an emergency, but it’ll be 6 years from my last c section, my scar is constantly hurting and pulling, and I’m scared this baby will get stuck too and I’ll have another emergency.

I’ll be talking to the doctors next week to find out for sure what my options may be, if I should worry about a narrow pelvis or something. Unfortunately I’ve had to see so many different gynecologists, I’ve been told different things. Narrow pelvis. Tilted uterus. Hooked pelvis bone!! When the midwife did the Pap smear she said nothing about any of those. Hopefully next week the person I see will give me some clarity.

Anyone have any advice though? Been told similar things or Gone through the same thing?
