Should I still be trying?

Lior

Hi, I’ve had endo for 15 years, last year I had my Mirena cool out and began trying for a baby with the help of my friend.

To give you a little context, I’m gay, and wish to coparent with him. He’s a registered donor who wants to be involved as much as possible, and is the most genuine hard working guy I know.

I’ve got hydrosalpinx and have had 8 laparoscopies in the past, and my bowel is adhered to my womb, so when I had a consultation on Monday, I made sure to say that pregnancy was my goal. I was happy to learn that I was eligible for free ivf treatment as I’m under 40, and will have further testing and possible op to drain the blocked tube or remove it if needed and also check for patency of the right tube. My doctor told me that the ovary that is working will ovulate, and as long as the other tube is healthy, the egg will be collected. My question is, do we continue to inseminate whilst waiting for my op and assisted conception? I want to do all I can to optimise conception.

Thanks in advance

Lior
