Flu shot??

Question

Flu season is approaching and I’m just wondering how many of you are giving your little ones the flu shots and how many of you aren’t?? 
Last year I was worried sick any time my LO seemed like he was getting a cold or got a cold.. especially with all the news of complications and ppl passing away because of the flu.. it’s so scary! Especially when they’re just babies/kids...
I’ve also read a couple cases where they passed away even though they had the flu shot or from complications of the flu shot.. I’m not sure how accurate the articles were but it’s just very scary. 
Last year I didn’t give my LO the flu shot and each time he got sick it was just a cold that lasted maybe 2-3 days and no fever. 
What are your thoughts????

Everyone in my family already got the flu shot. 80,000 people died from the flu last year in the United States. That’s 80,000 people who are no longer in the world. 80,000 families who grieved. If I can reduce the risk that my family will be one of those I will.

Pro flu shot! Even if you’re LO still gets the flu after receiving the vaccination, it is usually a milder case of the flu.  I’ve seen the worst of what the flu can do to children of all ages (I am a nurse in the Pediatric ICU).  If there is even a chance of protecting your child, then do it!

My 2 yr old.will be getting hers monday. The rate of severe flu complications in young children are much higher than the rate of flu shot complications and the shot complications tend to be much less severe. Im also due with our second im nov so we are taking all the precations we possibly can.to keep both girls healthy!

My son already got his flu shot for this coming flu season. He ended up getting influenza A at the beginning of March. You can still get the flu even if you have the shot, but it doesn’t hurt to try and protect them.

My 2 year old will be getting the flu shot soon. I'm due with baby #2 in December and will be getting the flu shot next week. My husband gets the flu shot because he is a teacher. In my opinion, it's better to be safe than sorry. The flu is absolutely brutal.

We got our little guy vaccinated. We primarily did it because we have a newborn in the house but we also do not want our 2 year old to get the flu. He had zero complications from the vaccine.
