How’s breastfeeding going?

Just wanted to know how everyone is doing with breastfeeding. Are you satisfied? Are there any concerns with milk production or going back to work? Or just moving on and using formula.

Such a real challenge...two lip tie procedures (one didn’t take), the a tongue tie procedure, then a diagnosis with silent reflux, medication, extreme letdown and choking and then an awful bout of mastitis. Can’t believe we’ve made it to 9 weeks. It’s been such a struggle but he has gained 4lbs.

After a traumatic csection and a ton of complications afterwards, my body would not produce the amount of milk by guy was demanding. My doc suggested this is because my body was going through so much to try and heal itself. I made it to 7 weeks breastfeeding him and then switched to formula.

It’s going smooth now at 11 weeks! I have an overactive letdown, so that took some getting used to for baby. Now, she’s learned to clamp down and pull back when she wants it to slow down. 😬 also, finally got her to take a bottle on the rare occasions that I need to be away. I really enjoy breastfeeding!

Breastfeeding has been pretty good since about week 5 I’d say. LO is seriously fighting the bottle though. Hopefully the nanny can handle it when I go back to work in a couple weeks.

Going well. Had a REALLY rocky start due to several issues but from about 3 weeks on (he is 13 weeks) it’s been smooth sailing. Started daycare this week though and super worried about making enough as he gets older and takes more in

Latch was great after the first few days but bottle feeding breastmilk st daycare was a struggle at first. Dr browns bottles helped. Also had major reflux/vomiting issue causing poor weight gain.  I stopped dairy almost a week ago and things are going better. We will see next week if he is gaining more weight or not.  As tough as it has been, formula would have been worse if I guess because of the dairy and soy formulas (my first was intolerant to both and formula is usuly one or the other so cutting both soy and dairy out with formula was impossible...easier with breastmilk).

Weird latch at first, and a clogged duct a few days ago, but otherwise great!

My bub is not the most patient latcher...he screams if my let down isn’t fast enough.  I’ve been mostly pumping and bottle feeding him breastmilk.  It’s a lot of work but working out ok for us.
