I think it depends, but probably. If the  first marriage was just like a “let’s get married for the baby” kinda thing, then he’d be complete justified in saying something like that. Some people think they’re in love and get married young and then realize they were just in lust or just didn’t really know what Love was. Not everyone thinks about what they’re doing when they get married and not everyone gets married for the right reasons. Especially in situations where people marry their first boyfriend or high school sweet heart or “first love” or get married when they’re a teenager.
