I learned that my first pregnancy ended in a missed miscarriage last week. I was devastated. Took misoprostol on Friday, bled heavily and passed huge clots with what I assumed was the sac/embryo in them but I wasn’t sure. It’s been 5 days and I continue to bleed and cramp but the clots stopped after that first Friday night. Just now though I sat down to pee and felt something drop out of me and into the toilet. I couldn’t help it, I fished it out and I’m pretty sure I saw a tiny little eye in it. Really freaked me out. This whole ordeal has been emotionally draining but I experienced what just happened through a more “holy shit, science is weird” lens. Just had to share.
