How is everyone finding out the gender SO EARLY?!

My Dr won’t even do it until 20 weeks or I have to pay $50 to do an “early” ultrasound @16 weeks. But a lot of ppl are finding out at like 10-12 weeks here! Lol I’m jealous! 
*under the genetic testing @ my drs office it says “test does not reveal gender” 
So what can I do??

There’s a at home blood test you can do it’s called sneak peak and it test for the male chromosome . It’s 99% correct the only bad thing is it’s easily contaminated so you’ll need to follow directions completely. Sneak peak also has a place where they take your blood for you which is less likely to be contaminated! I did the at home one and got girl. Waiting to confirm it!

My doctor proceeded genetic testing, without gender - so I had her order MaterniT21 plus through lab corps, and my insurance paid 100%. Just do your research :) you get checked for trisomy & tells you gender as well.

My doctor (in Canada) said they wouldn’t do an ultrasound for gender until 18-20 weeks or so and I thought I read somewhere that the genitals don’t even start to form visibly until 16 weeks! So the comments about scans before then confuse me too. But yes, my understanding is blood tests can be done way earlier :) And I’m sure “policies” differ between countries!

I did the NIPT test as well and it included finding out the gender. Thankfully my insurance also covered it and it saved me a ton of money to know I have a healthy boy!

Sneak peak. They have some places that offer a clinical draw where the results are more accurate due to a blood draw rather than a finger stick. But if you do it at home just make sure everything is clean and no make DNA could be on you, the surfaces, or cross contaminate the sample! They are very accurate when done properly. Everyone I have met has had the correct results!

I did the NIPT test through my Dr that includes gender testing. I'm waiting on the results now. I wonder if your Dr could refer you to a lab that would do it?

I went to a private gender scan at 14 weeks exactly. Paid 110 bucks
