Im wondering if anyone has recommendations on xray shields for pregnant RDAs?
I take xrays all day & there's 3 pregnant women & we usually press the button for them while they walk away but I want to be able to take the xrays without anyone's help.
So im looking into maternity shields

If you’re pregnant you should NEVER be in the room while taking x-rays. It doesn’t matter what kind of protective gear you’re wearing, it could potentially harm your child. Inform your employer or supervisor and ensure you’re out of room when they take the x-rays.

Technically for safety reasons the walls should be lined with protective metals? I think it's lead isn't it? I was a dental nurse for a while in the UK and we had to stand behind the lined wall away from the doorway pregnant or not as radiation can affect fertility. No body wear will provide you any better protection if the walls are correctly lined already. You need to discuss the risks with your manager and they should decide what will be safer and less risky for you. Xx
