How many of you had 2 baby showers?

So I'm a bit confused and trying to stay out of it. My mother was dead set on planning my baby shower so I let her. A few weeks ago my MIL said that she wanted to help and that she wanted all my SO brothers and other male family members to go. Again I didn't care so I gave them each others phone numbers to talk among themselves. Last night my MIL asked me to pick a date for my baby shower so I told her my mom said she was doing Oct. 27th. She said no I want to do a different day so the guys are allowed to come, we will have our own. She said it with quite a bit of attitude. So now I have 2 showers and my MIL is pissy because apparently my mother said no men and I could really care less either way but these 2 are starting to stur up quite a bit of drama and competition now. Is it common to have separate showers for separate families? Don't get me wrong I'm grateful they want to celebrate but I am caught between these 2 bickering and I'm getting tired of it.
