Breastfeeding while pregnant?

Question

I’m still breastfeeding my nearly 2 year old and am almost 6 weeks pregnant. Already I’ve found it much more painful than before I was pregnant! 
Those that breastfed through pregnancy- 
Does it stop hurting at some point? 
Did your baby wean themselves? 
If not, how did they react to another nursing baby? 
Do you bedshare and nurse?
I have so many questions and don’t know anything about this!

I breastfed until i was 20 weeks pregnant with my second. (My daughter was 20 months) and it hurt the whole time tbh. But I dried up so that made her self wean.

I'm current 16 wks and nursing my 9 month old. 
For me, the pain seems to be when he latches, so I've been trying to make sure he's got a good latch. I just started to use the nipple cream again.
We cosleep, but if he walks before 5 a.m. I usually nurse him in my bed to catch an extra hour or two of sleep before he's up for the day.
We just picked up formula to begin supplementing one feeding per day, since I need a break and he won't let me pump. His doctor actually said we could start cows milk early, if needed, but I'd rather wait until he's older.
For now, I'm taking it one day at a time, and adjusting as I need to.
