Hair dye,no ammonia,yes or no ?

11 weeks along with some very unsightly dark roots with blonde hair 😆😩 
I had thought it would be okay to use a non ammonia dye but am now having second thoughts...☹️ what are your opinions on dying hair ?

I don't think any amount of hair dye is safe. Some say after first trimester though.

Get highlights.. the bleach won’t touch your scalp and the chemicals cannot be absorbed this way. My doctor said hair color with or without amonia is safe as the chemicals are in such a low quantity they will not cause any harm. Everybody I know coloured their hair throughout pregnancies and had healthy babies. Luckily for me I got a reversed balayage just before i fou d out i’m pregnant so my hair looks great :) might get highlights larer on so i fon’t end up woth half head dark and half blonde

Maybe if you have the room well ventilated and wore a mask? Sounds silly, but better safe than sorry.

I just colored my hair at 12 W 6 days, it was ammonia free and I had my mom mix p the dye for me. I put it on myself and put a disposable cap on afterwards so I didn’t have to smell it. I only kept the color in for 20 minutes since it was a touch up then showered it out

My OB says hair dye in the second trimester is fine as long as it’s done in a well ventilated area. I would wait a couple weeks to do it, and use ammonia free just to be safe. There are some more natural hair dyes on the market that have a lot less chemicals you could check out too.
