spotting for the first time

my period isn’t due til the 7th and i’ve never had spotting before my period before, but when i went to the bathroom and wiped the tissue was bright red with no clots, i’m cramping (severe as if i started my period ) with it and my breasts aren’t tender anymore (pms symptoms). isn’t it too late for implantation bleeding? could this be my period coming early? no more blood has come out since
