Have any of you lovely ladies had gallbladder issues while pregnant? What was your experience?

I had what I now am realizing (after speaking to my doctor) was a pretty severe gallbladder attack. I waited two weeks for my appointment after being in HORRIBLE pain for about 5 hours, and after speaking to my doctor I got a mild scolding for not contacting her sooner than waiting for my appointment. Thankfully I have not had another issue since then, but I was urged to contact them sooner if it happens again. I was curious what others experiences have been?

I had this. Ended up on a liquid diet, pain meds, with many ER visits. 6 weeks after birth it spread to my pancreas and I was hospitalized for a week and had my gallbladder removed. Removal is the only cure. These issues are VERY common for child bearing women, especially if you previously took birth control with estrogen.

Nooo but I just recently had kidney stones surgery removal : Let me tell you after surgery worst ever pain to get back to normal it took me 2 weeks . Now I found out I have that as well but doctor told me I don’t need surgery 🤷‍♀️

My mother was 5kg lighter than pre-preg after she gave birth to me. Took pethidine most of the time (this was the 80s 🤣) I turned out fine at 9 pound 4 and 61cm. 🐷 She had her gall bladder removed as soon as she could after I was born and generally just avoids fatty foods and alcohol. Take medical advice and consult someone else for a second opinion if you feel like your concerns are being dismissed. Be your own advocate!

A girl I knew had her removed while pregnant because she was constantly sick and couldn't gain weight. Like she was getting zero nutrients in her body. She found out like after 20w that it was her gallbladder causing all the problems. Basically she did perfect the rest of her pregnancy. She was miserable. Dont let it get to bad
