Own or rent?

People with kids- do u own or rent ur home? If renting are u planning to buy? please comment. 
Feeling stressed...  im still renting and i cant seem to save enough for a house deposit... im having a a baby in march and fear ill never own property 😔😔

My husband and I rent an apartment with our 3 kids. We want to own a home within the next 5 years, before we turn 30.

We rent a 4 bedroom house. 995 a month with 3 cats and a dog. You can find reasonably priced houses that give you the space and privacy you might want. I will never live in an appartment again. But were not ready to buy yet either. So this is a nice in between for now.

I’m 24 and my husband is 26. We’ve been together since 17 and 19. Having our first baby in January and we still rent. The house actually belongs to my step brother but he is in prison so it’s in my parents name. We do pay rent to them every month but a lower rate than other houses in the area. But when we moved in 2.5 years ago, we put about $10,000 into the house remodeling stuff.
He wants to sell the house right before he gets out of prison because he doesn’t want to come back here to the place he grew up and around the same people he kept getting in trouble with. So that will be in 2022. So we still have about 3 years before we actually have to move. At this time the idea of building/buying a house sounds great in a few years but idk if I’ll ever be able to commit to a place like that. Like I’m not sure I want to be “tied down” to one place or be responsible for such a big thing. That’s a huge decision and investment to make. But I’m just a worrier/planner and indecisive. I’m scared we would buy and then I’d hate it in a few months and regret it. 🙈 
But.. I think it’s possible that having kids will change how I look at it.

We have two kids, 3 and 3 months, and we rent. Unless we make a huge movie to another province we'll never own a house. It's way too expensive to own where we live.

We rent. I would stay except our landlord is having crazy money problems and can't afford to keep the property up to standards and there's been a hole in the roof for 2 months with a tarp on it that he hasn't fixed and I'm worried he'll lose the house. We're on month to month and I don't want to have to move at the last minute with a baby, so we're looking to buy before she's born.

We rent, and have no plans to buy. Home prices are insane where I live and we pay a very low amount for rent because it's my MILs home (she doesn't live here though). We are spending a fair amount of our own money fixing the home which is why we're paying a low rent.
