Why didn't you report?

I thought it was consensual at the time despite being intoxicated. Then when my memory came back 6 months later I realized I was drugged: I was completely coherent until he gave me a beer and I instantly blacked out and couldn’t move as he started doing things to me. I didn’t report because I knew I’d be hit with “Why were you drinking in the first place?”

I chose the third option, but in reality, it took seven months after multiple repeated incidents of him molesting me (he even cornered me and managed to unlock the shitty lock we had on the bathroom door). I reported for my sister's sake (she was another victim of his), and I had to let people know the truth about what kind of guy he really was.
His brother kicked his ass once he found out, we all vacated the house after the police were contacted, he lost a good job that he had, and barely any family will see him due to the majority of the newer family members being younger than eighteen while mom divorced him for our protection. Meanwhile, he got probation before voluntarily going to jail for some time. His mother doesn't believe us, we lost a very good friend who believed his story, and we no longer associate with all but four people who still have active involvement with his family (three aren't by choice, one chooses to for the younger ones). I encourage everyone to report despite the situation they were in, and if your family doesn't believe you or blames you for it happening, cut them off. It helped my family begin to heal, but it'll be a long time before any of us have the scars begin to fade.
