Diapers?

Previous Mama’s!!! For real, how many diapers does a baby go through? I get it, it’s a loaded question. We are trying to buy diapers and wipes ahead of time, a little but each paycheck. I was told not to buy too many of the newborn size. Just looking for some direction. I think we have a good start to our stock pile. Thanks to all you wonderful mamas!

I got so many for my shower and stocked up then my babe didn’t agree with any of them! My suggestion is putting away the money you would spend on stocking up and save for when baby gets here and you know what diaper works best for baby or else I’ll have a lot of wasted diapers or diaper to return, everyone told me not to buy to many newborn so I got 2 packs and my little one ended up being in them for 7 weeks so a lot more then 2 packs lol he wa born 7 pounds 12 oz, I suggest buying a few packs of newborn and size 1 in 2-3 brands and see what works best for your little one. Personally the pampers pure have been literally the best diaper out of the 8 I’ve tried but regular pampers and the huggies little snugglers were also great my son just had sensitive skin!

Are you having a baby shower ? I got TONS at mine so I’m glad I didn’t buy many. I’d just buy a couple boxes of each size for now honestly, and if you get them from Walmart and need to exchange them later on you can.

My son wore nb for his first month then size 1 we got about 2 boxes that he used. And so on. He stayed in size 5 for a couple months and he's been In size 6 for a year now.

My daughter (8lbs6oz at birth)  used 1 big pack of Newborns in a week then it was small in her. Now she’s 1m5d, so far we went through 1 jumbo box of diapers plus I have another 2 boxes of size 1.

Every baby is so different. My daughter is 15 months old and wears size 3. She has a cousin who is 6 months old and in size 4.

It really just depends. My son was in newborn for almost 3 months and went up to now a size 5 and hes not 9 months old yet. Im about to switch to size 6 soon 😰 then ive started stocking on pullups already as they only get 1 size bigger in the brand we are using

I’m only stocking up on wipes. I have bought 2 packs of newborn and 2 size one. Il buy when baby arrives and I no the sizing, don’t want a pile of nappies I can’t use 🤷🏼‍♀️

It really depends. My daughter has been using size 4 diapers now for like 5 months. But the other sizes she grew out of super fast.
