Did I miscarry?

So 2 years ago I had an experience....

I started cramping a little. Thinking I needed to poop I went to the bathroom. When I sat down something told me to just push. When I did I passed an almost perfect circle clot. After that I started bleeding heavily. I used about half a box of super plus tampons in 4 hours and was cramping so badly I was doubled over. I went to the hospital and they told me I was on my period and sent me home. The bleeding finally has lightened and stopped about midday the following day. I got into my gynecologist a few days later but she said it was too late to tell if it was a miscarriage. Anyone know any answers?
