Is Mila a really popular name?

Question

Anyone else contemplating naming their baby Mila?
I just read on Babycenter or some site that its name #10 in 2018!!! That's horrible to me. I like unique names. But I really like Mila. I dont want there to be multiple Milas in school with her.
Do you guys know any little girls named Mila?

Its just frustrating because its been on my baby name list for 7+ years and it's the only name my husband can stand out of all my suggestions. The agreement was that I get to name this child whatever I want (because he got his jr) but its still a huge plus that he actually likes it too. He hates every other one on my list. I also have to pick an M name. But I like unique names. I'll be really annoyed if I name her Mila and then start seeing a bunch of other Milas pop up on my Facebook or at her schools. But I suppose I shouldn't let that 1 thing stop me. If it's the name I love, then I guess who cares what anyone else is naming their kid. As the mom, I have to enjoy saying her name out loud every day.

At the moment it’s on the top of my list. As someone mentioned above, there is no accurate statistics from 2018 yet. I only know 1 Mila and she is over 30 but I live in UK so it might be different here.

There are no actual accurate stats for 2018, and won't be until several months into 2019. So anywhere you see listing top names of 2018 is either lying, guessing, or just wrong.
That said, yes Mila is getting very popular. In 2017 it was the 30th most popular girl name in the US. I would be extremely surprised if it were not even higher on the list when 2018 stats come out. If you want an uncommon name, don't choose this one.
Mira and Mina and Lina are uncommon names with similar sounds.
