You gonna watch your baby being born?

I’ll watch from my view but definitely no mirror. 😂 I’d rather not know what’s going on down there as it’ll probably make me more nervous. I did get some good shots of my last baby though since epidural worked wonders. I’ll probably do the same this time if all goes well 😊

I’ve never had a mirror to watch my baby being born but I thought it might be a neat thing to see?! Anyone done this?

I did it for mine and it was great! When you can't tell what's happening it's really hard to find the strength to continue. Seeing the head gave me the strength to keep pushing. But I'm a science teacher so this kind of stuff is extremely interesting to me

I had a c-section and even though no one discussed it with me beforehand I remember the anesthesiologist saying “you’re baby is going to be born in about 20 seconds, do you want me to pull down the curtain so you can see?” And I had to make a split decisions right there on the operating table. I said “yeah 😬😬” and he pulled it down and all of the sudden there was my son! It was amazing. I was so afraid I was gonna see blood and guts but I didnt see anything- just my perfect baby boy! It’s an image I will have in my mind for the rest of my life.

I get faint if I watch blood being drawn or if I see a deep cut. I dont want to faint during labor. When I was giving birth to by daughter the nurse kept saying I should watch in the mirror to help my pushes ne more effective. But I didn't want to get faint when I still had so much more work to do.

I didn't with my first but with my second they asked if I wanted to see. I said sure let's try it and it was absolutely amazing! It was great motivation to get him out to see the rest of him. I didn't even notice the grossness that was going on. All I noticed was my beautiful baby boys full head of hair.
