I’m 21 weeks pregnant and everyone is very excited.

My mother in law keeps going on about how soon we should baptize the baby once he’s born.

I told her I don’t believe in baptizing babies.

Getting baptized is a decision you make when you’re older and know what you’re doing.

I was brought up Christian. But I don’t call it religion but a relationship with God.

She keeps going on that if we don’t get the baby baptized she’ll go to hell and if the baby dies he’ll go to hell because we didn’t baptize.

I don’t want to be rude I already told her how I felt about but she just keeps saying “ well I’ll take the baby myself and do it, when you’re not around”

Which upsets me.

I don’t know what else to do I’ve told her multiple times how I feel about it.

My husband doesn’t care he’s not religious so he doesn’t say much.

I told her I believe in presenting the child to God that I as his mother will teach him to love God and follow Jesus in the right path.

( proverbs 22:6 Start children on the way they should go and even when they are old they will turn from it.)

I love her but I don’t want to conflict our relationship in any way.
