Hey ladies, my 4 year old MacBook Pro’s logic board just died for the second time. It’s no longer under Apple care and it will cost me more than the computer is worth to have it fixed so I’m in the market for a new computer. After this experience with Apple I don’t particularly want to get another Mac product and I don’t know much about PC’s so I am looking for suggestions.

I need a computer that I can do school work on, that has a good/ lasting battery life and will be a good long lasting computer for me for many years. I’m looking into both laptops and desktops so any suggestions are appreciated! Also I’m not opposed to a tablet either. Thanks for he suggestions in advance!
