Would you make your parents/in laws get a baby gate for their pool?

If your baby or toddler stays with your parents or in laws often and they have a pool would you make it mandatory they get a pool gate?
I think splitting the cost would be ok?

I wouldn't be comfortable without a gate. If my child was there without me especially. Possibly splitting the cost ? But if they're in a bind you should offer more help. If you're really there enough for it to matter.

In Australia it is the law. You cannot have a pool without proper fencing and safety gates. I would 100% not have my child there without a pool fence.

I’d be more comfortable with some kind of security for there pool, but if there doing me the favor of watching my kid, then I wouldn’t demand them to buy anything for there home. But if I wanted them to have something to make me fill more secure I’d purchase it myself

Drowning is the LEADING cause of death among children under the age of 5 years old. We have multiple family members with pools and there's no way in hell I'd ever in a million years allow my toddler to visit them without proper fencing and home alarms. His aunt still has yet to get one and our daughter won't be visiting her until she does. Period. It's non-negotiable.

I wouldn’t allow my child to stay there. Of course I would ask them not demand, I think it’s a reasonable expense especially since you’ll split the cost. Get an alarm on the door going out to the pool also & have a lock at the top of the door
