Suicide helplines?

Has anybody here called a suicide helpline before? What is it like? What do they say/do/ask etc?

Answer

I never have but I’m pretty sure they’re just there to hear you out and let you talk. Don’t feel discouraged to call if you’re feeling like you need to. I lost my uncle to suicide last year and I wouldn’t ever want someone else to go through that. If you need someone to talk to, please do. Don’t be afraid to call the suicide prevention line. I’m positive it will do you more good than harm! ❤️
