What should I name my baby!? Help!

My husband and I can’t agree on a name. He is Samuel Joseph IV, and wants to name our son Samuel Joseph V and call him SJ. I’m not a huge fan of passing down names, and the only other name we have agreed on calling him is Tyler possibly. Is SJ too weird of a nickname? Thanks for your input!

I’m not a fan of the nn SJ.. and I also don’t like giving sons their fathers name. Not everybody fits that name and shouldn’t be forced. I personally like Samuel Tyler best. It sounds good said together, separate, etc.

I might be a little biased because my little brother is (Dad’s Name) Tyler and he goes by Tyler 😉

I wouldn’t call him SJ but I would pass the name on. You can call him something different, like if you had another boy name you like just call him that. I’m assuming “Sam” & “Joe” are already being used lol

It’s a difficult one. I’m not a fan of passing down names either. My partner wanted to name the baby after him must we found out we’re having a girl so managed to escape that

The city I live in is abbreviated to SJ so it seems like a strange name to me! Lol but seriously, if you're not sold on it then I'd say keep brainstorming!
