My boyfriend and I are both 19 and we have been together for 4 years. I am a full time college student and work part time (he doesn’t work or go to school). On Wednesdays I am on my college campus from 9am to 8:15pm. During that time I don’t have a break at all to even eat because my day is filled with work and classes.

Yesterday my boyfriend asked if me and him could go visit his grandparents tomorrow. He hardly ever visits them (his choice) and always talks bad about how his grandma is crazy and abusive. He only goes over there because she gives him money and buys him pizza. Anyway, I told him yes because at the time I felt up to it.

However I didn’t get very much sleep and since this is my long day, I’m usually exhausted anyway by the end of the day and just want to eat and go home. I told my boyfriend when I woke up that I changed my mind about going and that I would like to go on Monday or Tuesday when i get out at 5pm instead of 8. (I am going on a weekend trip with my parents so can’t do it over the weekend.) That way we would have more time to spend with them and I wouldn’t be so tired. Not only that, but since I get out so late on Wednesdays we wouldn’t get there until 9pm, and I would have to leave campus to go pick him up then go all the way back to the town my campus is in because that’s where his grandparents live (my boyfriend doesn’t have his license).

He already messaged his grandma last night and told her we were coming over but i didn’t know he did that. Now he is freaking out at me and threatening to break up. Is he right?
