Hello!

My husband and I just got back from our ultrasound. I am 22 weeks along so far...the doctor came in to go over the ultrasound with us stating everything looks good but...the umbilical cord is missing a part. He drew a picture that resembles Mickey mouse's head which is what a normal cord should look like..However mine is missing the " second ear". This could be okay and supply enough nutrients for the baby or it could be a sign of down syndrome. We could do genetic testing or wait another 10 weeks to see if the baby is growing. I am just wondering if anyone else has experienced something similar and could shed some light on this. This is our very first pregnancy and we want to make sure we are well informed so we can take care of this babe as best as possible!
