So I’m on a dating app, okcupid. This guy wants to go to dinner later tonight (Thursday evening) and he wants to meet at a restaurant near his house, which is about 25 min away from me. I drive and have a car and everything but he has been persistent on sending me money before our date that way I can get a lyft there and back, because he wants to drink. I told him it was fine that I didn’t want him to pay but I didn’t have the money to lyft all the way there and back so I’d probably just drive. He said again he’d rather just give me the money to lyft. I’ve had a couple of bad experiences with ex’s giving me something than if something didn’t turn out the way they wanted asked for said thing back, and it’s made me more hesitant on accepting things, and this guy really doesn’t owe me anything since we’ve only talked on a dating app, and he “claims” he wants to give me the money ahead of tome that way “I don’t feel obligated to do anything with him” but I also don’t want him expecting anything at the end anyways for giving me the money, but I also can’t afford $80 between the Uber there and back.
