Period late after stopping pill?

Hey all! Quick question, ive been on the pill for a year and decided to stop taking it last month after the placebo week. I found the pill just wasnt for me. My period is now 5 days late. Have any of you had it take a while for your period to get back to normal after stopping the pill? Thanks!!

It could take anywhere from 1 month to a year for all those hormones to flush out of your system. However there are drinks you can buy on amazon and such that can flush these out of your system. Talk to your doctor if you have concerns

I recently got off the pill for the first time in 5 years. It took about three months for me to have another period. I started using progesterone cream to try and help the hormone situation, and it seems to be working.
