Later on in high school I was allowed to sometimes use one of my parents cars. As long as we (my sisters or I) were in school/college or had a job we were allowed to use a car that was still technically and legally our parents car. Then when we were 26 we had the option to either buy the car from them or let them have/sell that car and buy our own car. We also lived out in BFE like a 15-20 minute drive just to get to school and the local gas stations, fast food and grocery stores and even farther out for other stores etc. So walking, biking, public transportation werent really options.
