Pineapple causing contractions?

Has anyone heard of this? A coworker told me to eat pineapple to induce labor (not currently trying! I’m only 36+3). I’ve been having a craving for it. The last two times I’ve eaten an entire can of pineapple I’ve had some really uncomfortable contractions, though nothing time-worthy. I thought the first time was just a coincidence but it happened again earlier today.

No the doctors say you would have to eat an ungodly amount that no person could consume all at once to start labor or contractions.

I’ve eaten pineapple my entire pregnancy and I’m a FTM 29 weeks. You would have to eat like 7-10 entire pineapples by yourself for it to start labor 🤷🏾‍♀️

I eat pineapple often. I’m 38 weeks. Haven’t dropped and not dilated. You can’t eat enough to start labor. Though I wish I could... Go ahead and enjoy some.

You apparently have to eat 3 whole fresh pineapples including the core for it to do anything

I eat fresh pineapple almost everyday from the beginning of my pregnancy I am now 34+6 and I’m feeling ok..

I’ve heard a lot of theories of pineapples softening the cervix later in pregnancy, which can cause contractions.
