Did you have staples with your Csection?

I didn’t have any but am hearing more and more of people getting them. I know my mom did 23 years ago 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

I had stitches internally and I was glued shut externally.

I had external staples and my scar is beautiful. I don’t scar well (usually thick scars) but this scar is super thin and flat. My doctor told me it’s from using staples. 🤷🏽‍♀️

I had external glue and internal stitches. The doctor that did my section actually lives in a different state and covers at my hospital occasionally on weekends when he’s in town. My actual OB looked at me like I had two heads when I said I didn’t have any staples.

I had dissolving stitches with both of my c sections. I had a negative pressure dressing with my second and that was a serious game changer. Made healing and recovery a breeze.

I got them done on the inside they are dissolvable then I got stitched up

Every doctor has their own method. I had a c-section in July and the nurse told me all the male doctors do staples and most of the females do stitches at the hospital I delivered at. In my birth plan I requested if I had to have a c-section I wanted stitches just in case I got a doctor I didn’t know.
