Have you gotten or will you get the flu shot?

I got the flu shot yesterday at my 20 week appointment. I’ve never had it before, but I decided to go ahead and get it based on my doctor’s recommendation and reported benefits for me and baby.
Today I’m feeling kind of run down and tired and I’m wondering if I made the right decision. Just wondering if anyone else has gotten the flu shot and had an adverse reaction. If this isn’t your first pregnancy, did you get the flu shot in previous pregnancies?

The flu shot might make you feel run down because it’s meant to elicit an immune response, that’s how vaccines work. You feeling run down is you feeling your body learn what the virus is and how to get rid of it. It’ll pass. I got my flu shot last week, I work at a hospital and we’re required, but I’d get it anyway!

Definitely getting mine. I normally get it annually as I have a weakened immune system but thought I could go without it one year and got so ill I don't ever want to experience that again especially not pregnant! 💉

The flu shot is either a “dead virus” or a strand from the virus which will help your immune system develop antibodies to fight the live virus later on. 
I’m getting the shot the end of this month because flu season hasn’t started in my area. Last year I got the disease and missed 3 weeks of work 😭😷🤧. The flu turned into a sinus infection and before I got better from that I had pneumonia. I literally lived in the bed for almost an entire month. When I returned to work it was 20 hr work weeks for my first 2 weeks back. 
I was shocked because I’m young and healthy. Plus I hadn’t gotten the flu since I was 21 and I guess I was cocky after 9 years of not getting ill. I can’t risk the flu and pneumonia while carrying my little one. So I’ll skip the conspiracy theories and get my shot.

I felt the same way after mine! I usually never get the flu shot and wish I had done more research before getting it after my doctor recommended it. I think you’ll be fine! But I definitely felt run down and weird for a day.

I’m not getting it with this pregnancy. I got it with my first and didn’t have any issues, but with my 2nd I didn’t get it and decided not getting it with this one either. I asked the dr about it yesterday and he said it’s not something he pushes on his patients.

I had flu jab about 2 weeks ago. I just had bad headaches and my arm was aching so much for about 3 days. But other then that was all ok

The flu shot doesn't always mean u won't get the flu. Me personally won't be getting any vaccines during my pregnancy . It can put ur baby at risk . But most doctors are all going to try to encourage u to get the vaccines . Just do what ur comfortable with .

I'm allergic to a certain ingredient in the flu shot so I can't get it. Puts me and baby at too much of a risk. Same with my first and his first sickness was at 9 months ear infection after we started swimming in the summer.
